Welcome!!!
Thank you for visiting our hub site!

Our children are our future!

Celebrate Our Youth is a national event with its annual celebration in June.  It can be celebrated anywhere and in any way in your local community.

This website is our central hub: a place for you to get ideas and share how you will be participating in making a difference in the lives of our children and youth.

We are encouraging everyone, especially our local community leaders and organizers at schools, churches, and other civic groups to participate and host their own dialogues and forums involving our children and youth; arts, music, sports and other activities that encourage expression of their amazing talents, gifts and abilities.

Individuals and groups are free to register their events, activities and many other brilliant ideas that benefit our youth and their future.  You can also learn how to be part of the solution by taking part in the
Celebrate Our Youth Project

If we are to have real peace, we must begin with the children.
-Mahatma Gandhi

There is no trust more sacred than the one the world holds with children. There is no duty more important than ensuring that their rights are respected, that their welfare is protected, that their lives are free from fear and want and that they grow up in peace.
- Kofi A. Annan, Former UN Secretary-General

Celebrate Our Youth
June 2009

June 20, 2009, community volunteers, parents and children observed the first Celebrate Our Youth! Day in Milpitas. The day was highlighted with a “Walk for Youth” to celebrate the vitality and potential of our youth. Some participants walked inside the Great Mall and others walked around Milpitas downtown. COY is one of the advocacies of bestselling author, Anolia “Leah” Facun (2nd row, far left). Leah is the author of Amazon.com’s Bestseller, Yes! The Secrets Work, Secrets of Survival among other self-help books. The celebration in Great Mall was organized by Milpitas Executive Lions Club led by VDG Ray Maglalang (on 1st row, 2nd from right) while the Milpitas Downtown walk was made possible by 5 Star Alliance.
